The Neighbourhood Sauna – A Space for Restoration

To ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all guests, please take a moment to read our terms and conditions. By booking or using our services, you agree to the following:

Bookings & Payments

  • Bookings can be made online or in person and must be secured with a valid payment method.

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise arranged.

  • All prices are subject to change without notice.

  • Gift vouchers may be used toward any eligible service or product and must be presented at the time of booking or check-in.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • We kindly require a minimum of 6 hours’ notice for cancellations or changes to your appointment (business hours).

  • Cancellations made with less than 6 hours' notice or no-shows may result in a full charge or forfeiture of your session or voucher.

  • We understand life happens — please contact us directly if extenuating circumstances arise.

Arrival & Session Etiquette

  • Please arrive at least 5–10 minutes early to settle in and begin your session on time.

  • Late arrivals may result in shortened sessions to accommodate subsequent bookings.

  • Come fresh-faced and free of moisturiser, sunscreen, or oils to maximise the benefits of your sauna.

  • SOUTH TERRACE - Towels are provided for sauna use; shower towels are available to bring or hire.

  • BEACH LOCATIONS - Towels are not provided. Please bring two towels with you, one to sit on while you are in the sauna and one to dry off with after your session. We have towels to purchase for $5 on site, should you forget to bring one.

  • We encourage silence and mindfulness in your private sauna space — a time to return to self.

Health & Safety

  • By using our facilities, you confirm that you are physically fit and not suffering from any condition that may be aggravated by sauna use, including but not limited to cardiovascular issues, pregnancy, or severe skin conditions.

  • If unsure, please consult your GP or healthcare provider before booking.

  • You are responsible for monitoring your own physical response during sessions — if at any time you feel unwell, please exit the sauna immediately.

  • Alcohol or recreational drug use prior to sauna therapy is strictly prohibited.

Personal Belongings

  • We recommend bringing only what you need for your session.

  • While every care is taken, we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Respectful Conduct

  • We are a wellness space built on care, kindness, and respect. Any inappropriate or disruptive behaviour may result in immediate removal from the premises without refund.

  • Our team reserves the right to refuse service at their discretion to ensure the wellbeing of all guests and staff.

Privacy

  • We take your privacy seriously. Any personal details you share are kept confidential and used only to facilitate your wellness experience and communications with us..

Membership Benefits

  • Memberships include a set number of sauna sessions per billing period, depending on the plan selected.

  • Additional member benefits may include discounted guest passes, retail discounts, or priority access to special events.

  • Benefits are non-transferable and are for personal use only unless otherwise stated.

Billing & Payment

  • Memberships are billed weekly in advance, via direct debit or the payment method on file.

  • It is the member’s responsibility to ensure payment details are up to date.

  • Failed payments may result in temporary suspension of membership benefits until resolved.

Session Bookings & Expiry

  • Members must book sessions in advance, subject to availability.

  • If a session is full member do not get priority.

  • Any unused sessions may roll over for one billing cycle, after which they will expire.

  • If we are ever closed for maintenance or due to bad weather, a make up session will not be issued.

  • Membership sessions cannot be redeemed for cash or exchanged for other services.

Cancellations & No-Shows

  • A 6-hour cancellation window applies to all member bookings (business hours).

  • Sessions cancelled within 6 hours, or unattended appointments (no-shows), may be deducted from your weekly allowance.

  • A no show fee will be charged if repeated sessions are not attended to without cancellations.

  • Repeated no-shows may lead to a review of your membership.

Pausing Your Membership

  • You may pause your membership for up to 4 weeks per calendar year, with a minimum pause period of 1 week.

  • Requests to pause must be submitted in writing at least 2 days before your next billing date.

Cancelling Your Membership

  • Memberships can be cancelled at any time before your next billing date.

  • No refunds will be issued for unused sessions in a billing cycle already paid.

  • We’re always happy to chat and find the best option for your wellness journey if your needs change.

Code of Conduct

  • Members are expected to treat our space, staff, and other guests with kindness and respect.

  • Any behavior that goes against our community values may result in cancellation of your membership without refund.

Changes to Membership Terms

  • We may occasionally update these terms or membership offerings. You’ll be notified in advance of any significant changes.

$29 Beach Sauna Membership Waitlist

Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to The Neighbourhood Sauna’s $29 Beach Sauna Membership Waitlist.

By joining the waitlist, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. First Come, First Served

  • Places on the $29 Beach Sauna Membership are offered on a strictly first come, first served basis.

  • Joining the waitlist does not guarantee immediate access to the membership. Memberships will only be offered when a space becomes available.

2. Membership Offer

  • When a membership place becomes available, The Neighbourhood Sauna will contact the next person on the waitlist.

  • You may be required to accept the offer within the timeframe provided (48 hours). If no response is received within that timeframe, The Neighbourhood Sauna reserves the right to offer the place to the next person on the waitlist.

3. Membership Price

  • The $29 Beach Sauna Membership is charged weekly and gives access to beach sauna sessions in line with the membership inclusions, booking availability, and any location-specific conditions.

  • The Neighbourhood Sauna reserves the right to update membership terms, inclusions, or pricing with notice where required.

4. Booking Availability

  • Membership access is subject to availability. Sessions may book out, particularly during peak times, weekends, public holidays, and seasonal periods.

  • “Membership”does not guarantee a specific session time, day, or location.

5. Pausing Your Membership

  • Members may pause their $29 Beach Sauna Membership for a maximum of four accumulative weeks.

  • Pause requests must be submitted in writing and approved by The Neighbourhood Sauna before the pause begins.

6. Pauses Longer Than Four Weeks

  • If you need to pause your membership for longer than four weeks, your membership must be cancelled.

  • You are welcome to rejoin the waitlist at any time, however your position will be based on the date you rejoin. Previous membership does not guarantee priority access.

7. Cancellations

  • Membership cancellations must be submitted in writing.

  • Once cancelled, your membership place will be released and offered to the next person on the waitlist.

  • If you wish to restart your membership after cancelling, you will need to rejoin the waitlist.

8. No Transfers

  • Waitlist positions and memberships are not transferable to another person.

9. Fair Use

  • The Neighbourhood Sauna reserves the right to review or cancel memberships where misuse, repeated no-shows, inappropriate behaviour, or breach of sauna etiquette occurs.

10. Changes to the Waitlist or Membership

  • The Neighbourhood Sauna may update the waitlist process, membership structure, availability, or terms from time to time.

  • Any changes will be communicated where appropriate.

11. Agreement

  • By joining the $29 Beach Sauna Membership Waitlist, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions

Voucher Purchase and Redemption Policy

All vouchers purchased through our services come with a three-year expiry date, as mandated by the ACCC guidelines. Please note that under no circumstances can this expiration period be extended. It is essential that voucher credit be redeemed within the designated three-year validity period, either by selecting a service or making a retail purchase in-store prior to the expiry date.

Please be aware that voucher credits cannot be utilised for acquiring additional vouchers or multipacks; instead, they must be redeemed exclusively on our services or retail offerings. We also want to clarify that while we strive to accommodate all requests, we cannot guarantee the immediate availability of specific services. Given the nature of dollar-value vouchers, there is no obligation on the part of The Neighbourhood Sauna to provide certain service types based solely on individual customer preferences.

To ensure that you can make full use of your voucher for a specific service, we highly recommend planning your visit accordingly within the three-year validity period to avoid any potential disappointment. Additionally, due to privacy policies, The Neighbourhood Sauna is regrettably unable to investigate or recover lost or misplaced voucher codes meant for giftees. Should you happen to misplace your voucher, we kindly suggest reaching out to the person who originally gifted you the voucher for assistance.
